The "Curry Festival 2014" will be held for the first time on September 28 in front of the front entrance of Hirosaki's Nakasan Hirosaki store (Hirosaki City, Dote Town). Sponsored by Hirosaki Junior Chamber.

The festival will be held as a food court for the "Cross S", a festival of music, crafts and food held on the same day. “There was a curry event around Hirosaki, but it was the first time in Hirosaki,” said Takahiro Kawashima of the same chamber. We planned to convey the charm of Shirakami from curry and rice using ingredients blessed with the world natural heritage "Shirakami Mountains".

On that day, "Aigake Jindai Curry," which has been exhibited at the B-1 Grand Prix from Senboku City, Akita Prefecture adjacent to the Shirakami Mountains, will open. There are 5 curries from the city, such as soup curry with simmered for 6 hours and soup simmered for 10 hours, and hotel-made curry with shrimp soup and Americaine sauce. You can also add vegetable toppings. Kawashima says, "Vegetables and rice were all obtained around the Shirakami Mountains."

At the product booth, in addition to selling retort curries such as "Apple curry", "Yokosuka Navy curry Hirosaki apple entered" which began selling in April of this year in collaboration with the Yokosuka Chamber of Commerce will also appear.

Holding time is from 10:00 to 15:30. Each shop is limited to 300 meals, same day ticket = 1,000 yen, advance sale = 900 yen.
