    "French weather-Marché 2019" will be held on September 28 at Hourai Square Park (Hirosaki City, Dote Town).

    The event is sponsored by the Hirosaki Glocal Action, an organization launched by students who have joined the area-oriented course "Connecting the Region and the World" at Hirosaki University. This is the 6th time this year since it started to get you to feel the atmosphere of the French market.

    20 venues including restaurants and general stores inside and outside Hirosaki are open at the venue. Some stores have limited menus that are named after France. Student-oriented face paint, French nervous breakdown, card game "Milbonne" workshop, hand-worn organ demonstration.

    Teachers and students will participate in the modern French culture course at Kinki University, where they will interact, and talk sessions will be held from 11:00 and 13:30. From 14:30, Mr. Kaoru Tsuri, who is known for his writings such as "The French of course Japanese want to know", will give a lecture on the theme of inbound.

    "The preparation and planning of the event started at the beginning of this year's classes, and what I could not do in the class was after school or during summer vacation," said Riho Saito, a third-year student at Hirosaki University.

    He said that he sometimes went out of the university and went to a store in the city to ask for sponsorship. "I had the chance to learn the harshness of society by being paid in front of the gate, but I also had many opportunities to experience the kindness of the people of Hirosaki," Saito said. "I'm getting better year by year because of the experience of my seniors. I feel the expectations of the Hirosaki people."

    Mr. Saito calls, "From children to adults, not only local residents but also international students can enjoy a different day together than usual."
