Doguko, a clay figurine from Kamigaoka, Tsugaru City, Aomori Prefecture, has entered the "Dog Character Championship 2014" again this year.

Doguko is an employee who belongs to the company of a columnist, Yamada Switch, who lives in Aomori Prefecture. The main activity is on Twitter, and recently he is addicted to the 6-second video application "Vine". Although he participated in the same championship last year, the result was 3rd. The "Dog Chara Championship" is a voting event for dogu characters scattered all over Japan, sponsored by the Dogu Day Steering Committee. The committee has set October 9th as "Dug of the Day," and will close the vote on the same day to determine the grand prix. This year is the second time it has been held, and 22 clay figurines from all over Japan have entered.

The current 1st place is the mascot character of the Korekawa Jomonkan, who has entered from Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture, and "Inorun" who won the grand prix last year. Next is Noku-chan in Misawa City, Aomori Prefecture, followed by Doguko, who is in 3rd place, and Aomori Prefecture is in the top spot.
