On March 24, a solo live performance by the performance band "CINEMA dub MONKS" from Okinawa was held at Hirosaki Ascension Church (7 Yamadori-cho, Hirosaki City).

The church was built in 1921 (Taisho 10) and is an English brick Gothic church. We are still worshiping and we cannot enter for sightseeing purposes only during the worship time. “It's rare to use it as a live performance like this time,” says Akira Kosugi of NPO corporation “harappa” who invited the live performance. "There are many Western-style houses and churches in Hirosaki, and Hirosaki Ascension Church is one of the churches that even locals have never entered. Hopefully the citizens will be able to touch the church at this live."

It is the first time for the band to perform in a unique Japanese-Western eclectic room with a cathedral in the back of the bran. The band has two members, but when introducing the members, he introduced Hirosaki Ascension Church as the third member. “In the past, it was a band that listened to music while watching images. Please enjoy listening to church today as well,” he introduced himself with a laugh.

On the 23rd of the previous day, a harmonica workshop was held at Fujita Memorial Garden (8 Kamishakuginmachi). While enjoying the atmosphere of the Western-style house, the 10 citizens gathered learned how to play harmonica from Mr. Daiho Soga, the president of the band. A woman (30s) living in the city who participated said, "If there are more such events, it may lead to an opportunity to visit the Fujita Memorial Garden, which is less familiar to citizens."
