The family restaurant "Famille Hirosaki store" on the 8th floor of "Ito-Yokado Hirosaki store" (in front of Hirosaki station) will be closed on September 30th.

Operated by Seven & i Food Systems and operating in Ito-Yokado nationwide, Famille opened its first store in 1972. At the peak, it boasted about 200 stores nationwide, but currently only 6 stores. In Aomori prefecture, there are two stores, Hirosaki store and Aomori store.

The Famille Hirosaki store opened on October 1, 1976, when the Ito-Yokado Hirosaki store opened. Many locals use it as a “superb restaurant with a view of Mt. Iwaki,” and many people drop their shoulders when the news of the store closes.

A 30-year-old man living in Hirosaki said, "My first date with my wife was Famille. I'm shocked to hear that it closes." A woman in her 40s said, "I used to spend a lot of food at a reasonable price with my family. I miss the old-fashioned department store restaurant district. I want to go there again at the end." I would like to see something new."

The accompanying ramen shop "Shiba no Ramen-ya" will also be closed on the same day.
