The "Yurei Exhibition" is currently being held at the gallery "Gallery Moriyama" in Hirosaki (Kisaki Hirosaki, TEL 0172-35-6787).

This exhibition displays about 80 items including ghost paintings and hell paintings owned by 10 temples in the Tsugaru region. There are also "Kanazaburo Watanabe's decapitalization", which was once talked about as "the eyes moved" during live broadcasting of a TV program, and ghost paintings that were said to have been drawn during the Edo period.

Mr. Yutaka Moriyama, the director of the museum, said, “About 40 years ago, we had a ghost story with a ghost painting, led by Mr. Tatsun Hasegawa, an artist known nicknamed “Neputa Osho” about this exhibition. I release a certain ghost painting once a year, and it also means memorial service and parade."

Inside the museum, there will be a special exhibition of ghosts and youkai kokeshi produced by Kokeshi craftsman Junichi Sasamori, and the ghost paintings of Tatsuon Hasegawa. “There are no major changes to the ghost paintings that are displayed at the annual event, but there are many people who visit us every year and female customers who eagerly appreciate them,” says Moriyama. "It may just be unaware, but I'm not seeing any strange phenomena," he said.

A woman in her 20s who stopped by Hirosaki during her return home said, "I knew the event for a long time, but I could see it for the first time because I did not have the opportunity to visit it. All of the ghost paintings are more scary than words. There was.”

Holding time is from 10:00 to 16:00. Admission is 500 yen for adults and 300 yen for children. Until August 21st.
