On the 25th of June, the Iwakiyama Skyline 8th Rest Area was used as a central venue for the Hirosaki City Iwaki District Memorial Project "Iwakiyama 1625 Daisakusen".

The event was held on June 25, 1991, in connection with the altitude of Mt. Iwaki 1625 meters. Since it was also held on June 25, 1989 under the title "Oyama no Teppen Carnival", Yoshifumi Kamata, Hirokazu Ito, and Sasaki of the regional revitalization cooperation team currently active in the Iwaki area Naomi's three people planned.

Mr. Kamata is preparing for a photo exhibition named after "1625" at Iwaki Sanpokan (Tokiwano Yunosawa, Hirosaki City) and promoting the "1625" support song sung by Hirosaki's local idol "RINGO MUSUME". I was in charge of making the movie. On the day of the event, at the summit of Mt. Iwaki, we helped grant the limited red stamp to Iwakiyama Shrine.

Mr. Kamata said, “There were women over 80 years old, climbers from outside the prefecture, and people who climbed from the first station. Some people said that it was the first time in decades, so it was good to have the opportunity to climb Mt. Iwaki. I look back."

Mr. Ito, the only person outside the prefecture of the three, says, "I don't have a mountain like Iwakiyama in my hometown. I envy the Tsugaru people." Mr. Ito struggled to prepare for the free opening of the toll road "Tsugaru Iwaki Skyline" which continues to the eighth station rest area. “It was my first time working, so it took a long time to adjust,” he said.

On the day of the event, there was a man who was camping overnight from the day before when going to the 8th station from early morning as a staff member. "The man, who came from Muroran, left without saying his name, saying he had prepared a trail for today's event," said Mr. Ito.

Mr. Sasaki was in charge of "Kogin Sashimi Exhibition for Everyone" and produced a publicly recruited tapestry of Tsugaru kogin sashimi. I didn't know how many people would get together, so at first I thought that I would just display them side by side, but in the end, I got 950 pieces from all over Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa.

While thinking side by side, I made the outline of Mt. Iwaki with the staff to make the shape of Mt. Iwaki. “The contour is not a black cloth, but the Tsugaru kogin stab is actually used,” says Sasaki. The work was 470 cm wide and 220 cm high. Mr. Sasaki said, "Some people wept in front of the tapestry, remembering a woman who was pleased to see the Tsugaru kogin stab that her granddaughter made, and a relative who died."

There was a long period of time hiding in the clouds near the summit of the day, and the situation continued to be invisible at the 8th station and near the summit, but the final number of visitors was 760. Mr. Kamata said, “For people in Tsugaru, there is always Mt. Iwaki, and it may be the source of my heart. When planning an event, there was more than expected cooperation from the surroundings, and it became a big event like Mt. Iwaki. ".

Photo exhibition until July 31st. The tapestry will be exhibited on the second floor of Hirosaki City Hall Iwaki Government Building (Kada). Until August 30th.
