"Hirosaki Apple Flower Festival 2019" has started on May 6 at Hirosaki City Apple Park (Shimizu Tomitazawa, Hirosaki City).

Since apples have white flowers that resemble cherry blossoms in the same rose family, this event was organized mainly by the city, which has the only apple section in Japan, so that you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing like cherry blossom viewing. During the period, an apple farming experience and a flower tea party will be held in the garden.

This year's event, which has also been a showcase event, has been completed with renewal maintenance work for the garden that has continued for five years. In addition to a new parking lot and entrance plaza in the park, the hands-on learning space inside the "Apple House" has been renewed. The park area expanded about 1.8 times, about 9.7 hectares, the number of apples planted by about 80 species increased by 1000 to about 2300 trees (excluding ornamentals), and the production garden doubled to 4 hectares.

On the 6th day of the first day, a local idol in Aomori, "RINGOMUSUME", performed a live performance, as well as a giant apple pie with a diameter of about 3 meters.

On the 11th, a handshake event and photo session for the anime "HUGt! Pretty Cure" character, a stage show by former apple daughter Let Gold Noonoka Ringo, and "Ciddle Night 2019" (starting at 16:00) will be held. There will also be a "Ringo Sake Grand Prix" (participation fee = 700 yen), which decides the grand prix by drinking from 16 kinds of apple sake, a live performance, and a candle art exhibition.

On the last day of the 12th, the comedy talent Lion Onishi stage and the entertainer Cute Bronze who lives in Aomori Prefecture will also appear. On the 11th and 12th, more than 10 stores will set up food corners such as galettes and meat dishes, as well as a rickshaw ride experience, a workshop using apple trees, and a workshop for making stickers.
