Roadside station Tsugaru Shirakami (Nishimeya Muratashiro Kanda, TEL 0172-85-2855) reopened on April 26th.

The facility opened in 2017 as the 28th roadside station in the prefecture. It opened in 1998 as the product center "Beech Nimesiya" and sells local specialties such as edible wild plants, mushrooms and apples. In addition, the restaurant “Mori no Door” has provided “Shirakami Juwari Soba” and “Tsugaru Dam Curry” made with Nishimeya soba flour.

From November last year, the entire building was closed due to renovation work accompanying the renewal, and about 162 square meters was added as a two-story building. We will prepare 70 seats in a food court of about 40 tsubo including a direct sales place of about 194 tsubo. A winery facility and a coffee bean roasting factory, which are scheduled to open this summer, have been newly established. Two multipurpose spaces will be prepared on the event space and on the second floor.

The Hirosaki Coffee School (Hirosaki City Tohoku) supervised the coffee bean roasting factory. In addition to installing a large roaster that can roast up to 30 kg at a time, 4 roasters using Meiya charcoal made in the Shirakami Mountains are available. We accept roasting experience using 3 units (experience course = 4,000 yen ~), prepare a course (2,500 yen) to learn how to make coffee, a certification course (8,000 yen) etc. In addition to the experience, there is also a coffee menu, offering "Shirakami roasted charcoal-grilled coffee" (450 yen).

Mr. Senzo Narita, president of “Hirosaki Coffee School” said, “I learned not only the branding of “Shirakami Roasted Charcoal Coffee” that uses Meiya charcoal, but also the coffee culture that can be learned from the roasting experience as well as the learning of coffee. We would like to use it as a place for graduates to play an active role, and aim to create a place where we can interact with local residents and tourists."

The honey sweets shop "BeFavo", which was open before the renewal, was opened as "Shirakami Winery & Shirakami Sou Honey Shop". It sells natural honey collected on the roof of the facility, Shirakami Roast Cafe Latte Soft (420 yen), and handmade gelato (380 yen each).

    Open hours for agricultural products are 8:30-17:00 (April-October) and 9:00-16:00 (November-March). Forest door = 11:00 to 15:00 (April to October), 11:00 to 14:00 (November to March). Coffee sale = 10:00 to 16:00. Biferbo = 10:00 to 16:00.
