On September 2nd, an art cafe gallery "ki to ao" (Ekimaemachi, Hirosaki City) opened near JR Hirosaki Station.

This gallery is created by Rika Sato, who was the store manager of the “honeycomb” general store that closed in December 2012. The store name "ki to ao" was named after the store that was created in the image of green created by the combination of yellow and blue.

According to Mr. Sato, there were many general stores and fashion stores that I longed for in Hirosaki when I was in high school, and I had lots of fun memories. When I returned to Hirosaki after going to Tokyo, I was shocked by the fact that there were no stores at the time, and I thought, "If you don't have one, make your own."

The store area is about 12 tsubo and the number of seats is 12. The number of seats will be increased in the future. All interior decorations were requested by the local creators. Mr. Sato himself checks each handwork and places an order directly.

The menu changes daily with the “Kito Ao rice set” (900 yen, the amount of rice can be adjusted), the “tamago sand set” (600 yen) made from home-grown eggs, and the French toast (500 yen). , The drink menu is blended coffee (400 yen), cafe au lait (450 yen), straight tea (400 yen), cold iced coffee (400 yen), homemade bitter caramel float (480 yen), and alcohol. Align.

In the future, we plan to enhance the menu and hold exhibitions and workshops inside the store. “If there is a place where art can be presented, people will naturally gather,” says Sato.

Business hours are from 11:00 to 18:00. Closed on Wednesdays and the first and third Sundays.
