Free distribution of pruned cherry blossom branches began on February 22 in front of the "Green Counseling Center" in Hirosaki Park (Shimohiragin-cho, Hirosaki City).

There are 2,600 cherry blossom trees in the garden that are in full bloom around the end of April, and are managed by a tree doctor called “Sakuramori”. The pruning work performed from late February to March applies apple pruning technology, and branches have been distributed free of charge to citizens since 2007.

The distribution of pruned branches is rare in Japan, and when they are put in water, they bloom, so many citizens gather every year in search of "a quick spring." The distribution that started at 9:00 on the same day was attended by 215 people and distributed 1075 branches.

Yuji Ebina of the park's green space section said, "This year's weather was good, and there were more people lined up than usual. This time we could only prepare 3 days of pruning branches that we started on 19th, but in the future Can prepare for a week."

Distribution will also take place on March 1, 8th, 15th and 22nd. The time is from 9 o'clock. It ends as soon as it disappears.
