    On August 9, the Fukaura Tuna Cuisine Promotion Council in Fukaura Town, Aomori Prefecture began selling the new local souvenir "The Fukaura Tuna Curry" using natural tuna.

    This product was developed from the desire to know more about the Fukaura tuna. It will be the second product following the acclaimed "Fukaura Tuna Steak Bowl (Magste Bowl)," which was released in June last year.

    Speaking of tuna produced in Aomori prefecture, the image of Oma is strong, but Fukaura Town boasts the largest landing amount in the prefecture. Most of the tuna landed in the town is the highest-class "bluefin tuna" consumed in Japan, and is the same species as the tuna landed in Oma. Fukaura-produced tuna is a little small, but it has a good reputation for its delicious taste due to its moderate fat paste.

    "Fukaura tuna is refreshing and easy to eat. We want to continue to send information and attract more tourists to the town," said Tomo Nishizaki, the chairman of the council.

    The "Fukaura tuna curry" released this time uses about 60 grams of natural bluefin tuna from Fukaura. Under normal conditions, the spices may collide with the taste of tuna and give off the unique chemical smell of retort food, but this product is a little less spicy than curry roux, and the original taste of tuna is highlighted.
