At the Aomori Museum of Art (Yasuda, Aomori City), a special exhibition "Makoto Shinkai from "Hoshi no Koe" to "Your Name"" will start on November 10.

This exhibition introduces the anime works that Ms. Makoto Shinkai, who was the director of the 2016 animated feature film "Your name is." It was planned to commemorate Shinkai's 15th anniversary of the director's debut, and this is the second time it has been held in the Tohoku area.

At the venue, we will introduce more than 750 points, including storyboards, original drawings, background images, setting materials, and model works that you can experience the world view from Shinkai's 6 theater releases. A spokesman said, "The largest exhibition in the region after the National Art Center, Tokyo."

Shinkai's second feature film, the first full-length animated movie "Beyond the Cloud, The Promised Place," is set in Aomori. The facilities and railway scenery along the JR Tsugaru Line, which Mr. Shinkai made an impression when he was traveling alone in Aomori when he was a student, appear in the play.

The voice guide navigator of the exhibition will be handled by actor Ryunosuke Kamiki who played the voice of Taki Taki, the main character in "Your Name." (Usage fee = 500 yen). At the end of the exhibition, the blackboard that appears in "Your name" will be prepared as a photo spot.

Opening hours are from 9:30 to 17:00 (admission until 30 minutes before). The admission fee is 1,600 yen for general/university students, 1,200 yen for middle/high school students, 800 yen for elementary school students (200 yen discount for advance tickets and group fees). Until December 9th.
