A beauty salon "draw&co." with a cafe (Kitawaragacho, TEL 0172-80-9098, Hirosaki City) opened on September 8th near the Hirosaki Post Office.

Koji Shimoyama, who has been a hairdresser for about 15 years, started his own business. His wife, Haruka, is in charge of the cafe, and the couple runs the shop. Koji has participated in national competitions for cut contests, and in 2014 received the qualification specialized in treatment, "Aujua sommelier" in Aomori prefecture for the first time.

“Beauty salons sometimes offer drinks during waiting times. We started to have a commitment that is not a ready-made drink,” says Koji. He started thinking about providing organic coffee beans from Fair Trade and smoothies made after receiving an order, and came up with a cafe.

“I didn't plan to help the store at first, but I remember suddenly being asked on the way home from my family trip,'Why don't you do a cafe?',” says Haruka, with a smile. A month later, I acquired the qualifications required for sales and decided to take charge of the cafe department. There are curry sets (700 yen) and hot dogs (400 yen) in the menu "I added an arrangement to the dishes that my family served."

The store area is 25 tsubo. The beauty salon has 4 seats and the cafe has 6 seats. Koji's father was a plasterer, so Koji himself painted the wall. "We used diatomaceous earth, which has a deodorizing and moisturizing effect, to separate the space between the beauty salon and the cafe," says Koji. "The layout of the store is designed so that other customers are not reflected in the mirror," he said.

The menu includes cuts (general = 4,500 yen, high school students = 3,800 yen, junior high school students and younger = 3,000 yen), colors (7,500 yen ~, including cuts), treatments (5,000 yen), sets (3,500 yen), etc. The cafe menu offers regular coffee, today's coffee, Ceylon Uva tea (400 yen or more), GREEN smoothie (450 yen), and soft drinks (300 yen). It also supports takeout.

Mr. Koji says, "The "draw" in the store name means not only suggesting it to the customer, but also thinking from the perspective of the customer together." Mr. Haruka says, "I would like not only to use the cafe but also to come with my family and couples and aim for a way to use it so that my companion can share the space with coffee while drinking coffee" speak.

Business hours are from 10:00 to 20:00. Closed on Mondays. (All tax excluded)
