"National High School Vibrio Battle" is also known as "Koshien no Koshien", and the rule is that high school students introduce the charm of books in a time of 5 minutes per person. .. Fifteen representatives from the six prefectures of Tohoku participated in the competition.

At Hirosaki High School, all first graders participated in a vibrio battle as part of the class. The man who stole the moon (the largest case of theft in NASA history) introduced by Mr. Narita met at the start of the class. "I chose it because it was drawn to the title. When I actually read it, it was impressive that there were unexpected developments from the beginning. In the speech, in order to convey the interestingness, how to use the impressive points and make the other person pay attention I had a hard time."

Narita started baseball from elementary school and is still in the baseball club. After deciding to participate in the tournament, I made time between club activities and continued practicing speeches. “I thought that seriously engaging in the vibrio battle might hinder club activities, but the tension I experienced at the Tohoku tournament was a good experience for club activities,” he recalls.

Toward the competition, I practiced at home at my own time and practiced with the teacher in charge at school. "When I gave a speech, I paid attention to the speed of speaking, intonation, and wording. He told me that facial expressions are especially important."

Mr. Narita is enthusiastic, "My speech is different from the others, and I want to do my best so that I can speak with confidence and calmness."
