The "1st eSPORTS Aomori Tournament in Aspam" will be held on September 29th at the Aomori Prefecture Tourist Product Center Aspam (Akata, Aomori City).

This tournament is held in Aomori prefecture to spread esports and to create an environment that attracts customers from Japan and overseas. Mr. Miki Kosaka, the chairman of the executive committee, said, “Esports has become an official event in the “Ikiiki Ibaraki Dream National Athletic Meet (74th National Athletic Meet)” that will take place in Ibaraki in the fall of 2019. The competition event is "Winning Eleven 2019", a soccer game released by Konami on August 30th. The venue will be the "Aomori Hall" on the second floor of the facility. According to Mr. Kosaka, there is a plan to make the venue a base for e-sports in the future.

16 players will participate in the tournament match on the same day. At the venue, four PS4s were used to proceed, with two winning eleven professional players visiting, as well as live commentators and commentators. There will also be competitions between the winners and professional players and exhibition games between professional players.

Mr. Takasaka is enthusiastic, "I would like to provide a place where I can take on challenges, as there is also the aspect of discovering and developing e-sports players in the prefecture."

Participation applications are on a first-come, first-served basis without any participation conditions such as experience or age. Applications are accepted by email or phone. The deadline is September 23.
