One month has passed since the "Washoku restaurant Murasawa" (Ekimaemachi, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-88-7269) opened near Hirosaki station.

The same restaurant that offers Japanese food with a focus on local production and local consumption. Atsushi Murakami, the owner of the shop, was born in Chichibu, Saitama and gained experience at Japanese restaurants in Tokyo, Ginza and Akasaka, and moved to Hirosaki in 2014 when he got married. It opened on the site of the cafe "San Marino" next to "Niji no Mart" on July 20.

Mr. Murakami says, “There are rare ingredients in Aomori, and it is attractive that seafood is fresh and cheap.” We mainly use ingredients and utensils from the Tohoku region, and provide food by using agricultural products that are purchased directly from farmers and seafood that has just been landed.

The store area is 11 tsubo and the number of seats is 14 seats. Inside the store, there is a woodworking product of "Natural woodwork workshop Nokonogi" (Momozawa) and a sharpening rod for a knife that Murakami's grandfather used. According to Murakami, the parents brought it from Chichibu at the time of the opening, and they are exhibiting it.

Lunchtime menu is daily set (1,200 yen, weekdays only), sea bream chazuke (1,500 yen), and nine small bowl dishes "Irigozen" (1,800 yen) made with seasonal ingredients. Dinner time includes evening banquet dishes (3,500 yen, 5,000 yen, reservation required), draft beer set (1,200 yen), hand sake set (1,500 yen), etc. For sake, we recommend "Recommended this month". It is said that Mr. Murakami purchases directly from the brewery.

One month after it opened, Murakami said, "We want to make it a restaurant that locals can use many times. A repeater who will be happy with the food also appeared, as a Japanese restaurant in the castle town of Hirosaki. If you keep going," he smiles.

Business hours are from 11:00 to 14:30 and from 17:30 to 21:00 (last order 30 minutes before). Closed on Mondays and the first and third Tuesdays.
