Before the opening of the "Hirosaki Neputa Festival" on August 1, the teams that are going to compete are in the final preparations.

This year, a total of 77 groups will participate in the summer festival "Hirosaki Neputa Matsuri" that colors Hirosaki, and runs the Doemachi route from 1st to 4th, and the station route from 5th to 6th. On the last day of the 7th day, the Dotemachi route will be operated during the day, and at night, "Nanukabi Okuri" will be held on the riverbed above the Iwaki River and Akane Bridge.

In each group, the practice of Hayashi and Taiko is in full swing, and at the Neputa hut, work such as paper sticking and painting is coming to an end, and preparations for the production are beginning to be completed.

The Neputa group, "Aisinkai," which started from this year, completed preparations for the Neputa on July 29. Kenji Sakuraba, one of the founding members, said, "This group was gathered by people who have not participated in Neputa for a while. Neputa is unsatisfactory just to look at it, and it is still fun to participate. Without injury. I want to operate and enjoy Hirosaki's summer until the end."
