One month has passed since the local taxi "Apple Pai Concierge" of Hirosaki's taxi company "Hokusei Kotsu" (Shigemori Shinmachi, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-32-0272) started its service.

This service guides over 50 Apple pie stores in Hirosaki. Starting June 14th, you'll be able to get to your preferred retailer with a guide called the Apple Pie Concierge. According to Mr. Yasuhiro Shimoyama, general manager of the sales department, there has been much demand for apple pies as an inquiry to tourist taxis.

Shimoyama, who came up with a concierge service specializing in apple pies, started training with 10 female group "Sakura Komachi" in the company. Mr. Shimoyama showed his extraordinary commitment, studied apple cultivation, varieties and harvests, actually visited each store to eat and even learned how to make apple pies from Hotel Patissier.

Mr. Shimoyama said, "Finishing must pass the original writing problem prepared by the Hirosaki Tourism and Convention Association. If you do not pass all these, you will not be an Apple Pie Concierge."

On July 3, the Japan Local Taxi Association was established by transportation and tourism companies, and participated as one of nine national attractions. It is said that the number of inquiries within the industry and consultations on tourism plans from travel agencies is increasing.

“We would like to make it a service that customers can easily use as a means of purchasing souvenirs for business travelers as well as tourists,” says Shimoyama. Iku Kinoshita, an Apple Pie concierge, smiles, saying, "In addition to the local information on Apple Pie, we will also guide you to sightseeing spots in Hirosaki on the way, and provide services that will allow you to come to Hirosaki." ..
