On May 19th, near the Hirosaki Park, the restaurant Izakaya Beard (Honmachi, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-55-7077) opened.

Kazuhiko Kato, who had been involved in the cooking industry for 40 years in bistro and leisure facilities in Tokyo and Aomori prefecture, independently opened this store for the first time. It is positioned as a sister store with the “Caraway” curry specialty store (Chitose Kuroishi), which opened during my career. The origin of the store name is beard. Mr. Kato reveals, "My beard has been stored for almost 30 years."

Mr. Kato, who is confident that it is the culmination of 40 years, shows his commitment not only to the dishes that focus on the ingredients but also to the establishment of the store. The store area is about 80 tsubo and the number of seats is 80. A tenant who was the site of "Iwabanyu Power Spot Hirosaki" said, "We were able to increase the number of seats, but we valued the spacious space." Mr. Kato himself created the drawings in the store. I also thought about the layout of the kitchen.

The menu is "Ice-aged beef sirloin steak" (2,380 yen), "100% beef hamburger steak" (1,350 yen), "Caraway "Aomori pork roast cutlet curry". In addition to (1,350 yen), single dishes such as "Satsuma fried" steak (750 yen), "teppanyaki "moyashi stir-fried" (650 yen), "chicken harami grill" (650 yen), etc. The drink menu offers homemade sangria (400 yen) and wine. A daily lunch (980 yen) will be prepared for lunch.

“We want to make the store accessible to anyone,” says Kato. For families, we have prepared a "Children's Lunch" plate (650 yen), etc., and we also offer course meals that match the budget. The reserved seats with 16 to 20 seats are also available as parties for parties and watching sports.

It's been a week since it opened, and Kato-san says that the number of customers for banquet reservations and lunches is increasing due to reviews. “I'm confident that I can be satisfied. I've set up a nice shop, but I'd like you to use it for a coffee shop with just a cup of coffee.”

Business hours are from 11:00 to 15:00 and from 17:00 to 22:00. Closed on Wednesdays.
