    Hirosaki's Tsugaru Shamisen Live House "Anzu" (Hirosaki City Chikamachi, TEL 0172-32-6684) resumed business on April 20th.

    Eight Tsugaru-shamisen players based in Hirosaki are enrolled, perform live music, and serve local cuisine. It started its business in April 1996, and this year marks its 22nd year, but Shigeki Yamamoto, the founder and store owner, died suddenly on March 23 and was temporarily closed.

    Atsushi Tada, the current owner and Tsugaru Shamisen player, recalls, “I started thinking about resuming business when I reunited with other Shamisen players at funerals.” The staff said that they would like to continue with their assistance, and Yamamoto-san's bereaved family agreed that he decided to open on April 15, saying "I have no choice but to do it."

    It was said that the Tsugaru Shamisen player and part-timer who were enrolled also returned to help prepare for the opening of the store. Mr. Tada smiled, "When I made a phone call to a customer who declined to make a reservation before closing the store and told him to resume business, 80 to 90% of the customers made a reservation. I am very happy." show.

    The Tsugaru Shamisen players, including Mr. Tada, will have the ability to win the Tsugaru Shamisen National Convention. “I want to protect only the style of live music,” says Tada. The Tsugaru Shamisen is played twice a day (appreciation fee 800 yen).

    Store area is 18 tsubo. There are 34 seats. It is said that the menus they offer are handmade and are particular about local products.

    The food menu includes mushroom soup (500 yen), squid noodle (600 yen), scallop shellfish (600 yen), bamboo shoot stick (600 yen), Kuroishi tofu (600 yen), horse sashimi (1,200 yen). The drink menu includes beers (600 yen), soft drinks (400 yen), local sake glasses (700 yen and up), etc.

    Mr. Tada said, “During the Golden Week, when the Hirosaki Sakura Festival is held, the shamisen players went to order and washed the dishes, and all the members could work together. I would like to keep in mind the stores where you can stop by."
