The illumination of the "Hirosaki Sakura Festival" being held at Hirosaki Park (Shimohiragincho, Hirosaki City) is now in full bloom.

Hirosaki Park has 2600 cherry trees of 52 species and is said to be one of Japan's three major attractions. This year, Yoshino cherry blossoms were declared to blossom on April 20, and the park and outer moat were in full bloom on March 23. It was in full bloom 3 days earlier than normal.

There is a cherry blossom tunnel of about 300 meters in Nishibori in the park, and on a day without wind, the cherry blossoms on both sides of the river are mirrored on the surface of the water, creating a fantastic scenery. Although it rained on April 25, the cherry blossoms were reflected on the surface of the water because the rain stopped and the wind stopped at around 20:00.

At the Sunyobashi in Nishibori, visitors often said that they were "bad" or "impressed" and pointed their cameras and smartphones at them.

A woman in her 40s living in Hirosaki who goes to Hirosaki Park every day said, “I couldn't concentrate on my work because I was worried that the rain and wind would continue, and the cherry blossoms would scatter early. I'm glad," she smiles.

A woman in her fifties who visited Hirosaki Park for the first time from Chiba said, "I'm less impressed as I get older, but I was impressed by this scenery after a long time."

The Hirosaki Sakura Festival is open until May 6th. Light up from sunset to 23:00.
