On April 21, Hirosaki Sakura Festival opened in Hirosaki Park, and the JASDF Acrobatic Flight Team "Blue Impulse" made a celebration flight.

Known throughout the country as a famous cherry blossom spot, the park has approximately 2600 cherry blossoms of 52 species in the size of about 10 Tokyo Domes. The "Hirosaki Sakura Festival", which is crowded with many tourists every year because it is in full bloom at the same time as Golden Week, celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Various events were held, and the celebration flight of Blue Impulse was also part of it.

The Blue Impulse flight began at around 10:30, in line with the opening ceremony held at the park's Honmaru site from 10:00. The wind on the same day in Hirosaki was slightly strong, but it was sunny, and the highest temperature was 24.5 degrees Celsius, which was the same as late June and became the hottest this year.
