On April 9, the Hirosaki City Park and Greenery Division announced the forthcoming cherry blossom bloom date in Hirosaki Park, which is the fourth time.

According to the department, Yoshino cherry blossoms in the park will be blooming two days later than expected on April 2, and five days earlier than normal. The planned flowering date was April 18th and the full bloom was April 23rd.

Hirosaki started in April with cold days such as sleet and snowfall, and the highest temperature during the day was 3.1 degrees on April 6, which was the 7th coldest observation history since 1976.

The city announced on May 5 that it will carry out a "quasi-festival system" before the opening of the event, which is the first time in two years since 2016, in response to the early blooming of cherry blossoms. It will be started from the 18th, ahead of night lighting and opening stores.

The festival is held from April 21st to May 6th.
