Hirosaki City Park and Greenery Division announced on March 26th that the cherry blossoms in Hirosaki Park are scheduled to bloom.

According to the department, Yoshino cherry blossoms in the park will be blooming two days earlier than the first expected on the 19th and five days earlier than the normal year. The planned flowering date was April 18 and the full bloom was April 25.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency's announcement, the highest temperature in Hirosaki on March 26 was 16.4 degrees Celsius, which was as warm as the end of April, and it was the second time to record 16.4 degrees this month. The average monthly temperature in March is now 2.78 degrees Celsius, which is said to be the eighth warmest in the history of observation since 1976.

Junichi Nagao, a local community FM station "Apple Wave" meteorologist, said, "The temperature will rise by about 20 degrees after tomorrow, and it will be warm from mid-May to mid-May. And, like the Kanto region, the cherry blossoms in Hirosaki Park will bloom early."

This year's Hirosaki Sakura Festival starts on April 21st.
