An intern at Hirosaki University has come up with an idea for improving transportation manners, and he is now calling for sponsorship of the company himself.

A part of the university's COC+ project, which is working to improve the employment rate of companies in Aomori prefecture. He accepted the internship at the Hirosaki Motor School operated by Musico Create (Izumi, Hirosaki City) and took charge of the "Aomori Smart Driver" project to reduce traffic accidents and improve driving manners.

"Smart Driver" is an effort to reduce traffic accidents through communication and compassion among drivers, and started in 2007 by broadcast writer Kaoru Koyama. Aomori has been active since 2010.

Mr. Kaya Mieno, a first year student at Hirosaki University, started working as an intern on February 19. Mr. Mieno validated Hirosaki's driving manners and pointed out that poor driving manners also lead to image degradation of the town. He suggested that a pedestrian crossing near the main gate of Hirosaki University, which had no traffic lights, had noticeable incomplete suspension despite the presence of pedestrians.

Specific measures include enlightenment through the installation of banners and banners and the production of videos such as "a story that starts from a pause." He suggested that it could be sent not only to Hirosaki but also to the whole country.

Mr. Mieno is currently explaining the idea to companies and calling for sponsorship to implement it. "The internship itself is until March 16th, but I would like to continue to visit companies and call for sponsorship after the activity," says Mr. Mieno. “It's difficult to talk while thinking about the position of the manager, but I'm happy that it conveys my thoughts. I want to communicate more about my favorite Hirosaki from the improvement of transportation manners.” Show me.
