    Hirosaki's brewery "GARUTSU Daikanmachi" (Daikanmachi, Hirosaki City) started "Taru Raw Cider GARUTSU Project" on March 1st.

    The brewery that produces apple cider "Cider". The project sells raw cider for the purpose of rooting cider made from locally grown apples in Hirosaki. “It's the first time for a local cider to be offered in Japan,” says Mai Sakuraba of Garz.

    The sardines sold are 10 liters and the alcohol content is 8 degrees. According to Mr. Sakuraba, you can taste the strong carbonic acid for about 30 days after opening, so you do not have to drink it out in a short period of time, you can reduce the sales loss compared to the cider that you could only sell bottles, and it will be easier to handle. “I want to increase the number of people who can drink,” says Sakuraba.

    The restaurant “Bellevue” on the 9th floor of Hotel New Castle (Kamisashi-cho) is currently providing raw cider. Mr. Hitomi Yamada of the restaurant said, “This hotel is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. We would like to continue incorporating new initiatives using local things.”

    The hotel sells for ¥500 per cup and also offers free drinks (2 hours = ¥2,160). Mr. Yamada said, "We are also considering offering cider cocktails in the future."

    Maeda liquor sales food (Watoku Town, TEL 0172-35-6655) also supports server rental of raw cider.
