In front of Chuo Hirosaki Station, we are currently dismantling the commercial facility "Rene's Avenue".

This facility was opened in 1980 as the "Rune town". Initially, only PART1 on the Chuo Hirosaki station side was expanded, but in 1984, the floor area will be increased and PART2 on the bank side will also open for business. It closed in March 2004 and reopened as "Rene's Avenue" in October 2006. It was temporarily closed in March 2017.

It features a Western-style building that matches the nearby Hirosaki Ascension Church and Ichinohe Clock Shop, and features a national cheesecake specialty chain, the "Cheesecake Factory", and store divisions aimed at nurturing entrepreneurs. There were also stores such as "Rakuichi Rakuza," which is a challenge shop that helps you to rent it easily.

The demolition of Runes Avenue takes place on the same site as the route of the city plan "Yamadocho Hinoguchi Line" decided in 1963. At present, Chuo Hirosaki station square is strengthening the transportation node function and improvement of the surrounding area including Yoshino Ryokuchi Park is progressing at the same time, and Chuo Hirosaki station will move about 30 meters from the current location to Owani station side, taxi pool and bus. A boarding/alighting area will be built.

A woman in her 30s who used to go to the Seiai High School using the Owani line said, “I remember changing to loose socks at the toilet of Renes Avenue when I left school. It was a place I longed for as a fashion building at that time. I feel lonely."

The dismantling of the facility will be completed by next spring.
