    On December 2nd, the screening "harappa movie theater "Hirosaki-born, directed by Fumihiro Kimura"" will be held at the space venue "Space Astro" at Hirosaki Chusanten (Hirosaki city bank).

    The screening hosted by NPO "harappa" to increase the number of movie viewing options. This will be the 26th time, and will be the first domestic screening of the self-produced movie "Ikitsuki" by the movie director Fumihiro Kimura, who is from Hirosaki, and the first directed film "Hebano" will also be screened.

    Kimura went to Kyoto University after graduating from Hirosaki High School. Started making independent films while attending school. After graduating from university, he was involved in film production, and the second feature film "Ai no Yukue (Tentative)" was screened in the "A Certain Viewpoint" section of the 25th Tokyo International Film Festival.

    "Breathing" depicts the life of modern people with three men and women in their 30s who moved from Aomori to Tokyo on the stage in Tokyo after the Great East Japan Earthquake. It is said to be the sequel to "Hebano," which depicts people living near the nuclear fuel reprocessing plant in Rokkasho Village, Aomori Prefecture.

    On the same day, not only the screening but also a talk event where Mr. Kimura will participate. After the "Breathing" screening at 10:30, he will talk with Mr. Kimura, an architect of the same generation, a newspaper reporter, and an apple farmer about the social boom and incident that had been affected. After the screening at 16:30, Mr. Kimura will show off his secret stories about the film.

    Mr. Ariyoshi Kosugi of harappa says, "Many of the works directed by Kimura pose a problem for major themes of the times and society. I want as many people as possible to think about it."
