The "Koshigaya Osam Lecture" was held on November 23 at the Hirosaki City Tourist Information Center (Shimohiragincho, Hirosaki City).

The same lecture was invited by Osamu Koshigaya, the author and novelist of the novel "Itomichi" (Shinchosha) set in Aomori. Koshigaya's masterpiece "Yodamari no girlfriend" was made into a movie in 2013 and became a million-seller novel. According to Mr. Koshigaya, he was the first to receive a request for a lecture, and said, "Aomori is the first time in four years since I interviewed. I accepted it because it was a request from Aomori who I liked through the interview."

A novel that depicts the process of high school girls in high school in Aomori starting a part-time job at a maid cafe and growing up. Mr. Koshigaya recalls that the stage was set in Aomori, "There is a setting called a crying maid and the stage is Akihabara. When I thought about the stage other than the city, I ended up in Aomori."

Mr. Koshigaya is from Saitama and has no relationship with Aomori, so he visited us about 10 times from 2009 to 2013. It is said that he stayed for about four days at one time and listened to the conversation of high school girls who went to school in the morning. "When I asked for coverage, I often got set up and took a walk around Aomori everyday," he said.

In a question-and-answer session held after the lecture, Mr. Koshigaya asked Tsugaru dialect, "Igamenchi," when the participants asked, "What is your favorite food in Aomori?" "Aomori is a land where "characters are mere" so that local people Yoshitomo Nara and human chairs have jumped over Tokyo and become popular overseas. It is also a mysterious land where locals do not insist on its goodness."
