“Owani Onsen Sprout Festa” will be held on November 18th and 19th at “Owanicom” (Owani Town, Minamitsugaru-gun) in Owani, Aomori.

Owani hot spring sprouts are said to have a history of more than 350 years, and the characteristic feature is that all the hot spring heat and water used for cultivation are grown in hot spring water. Owani Town acquired regional collective trademark registration in 2012 and is focusing on branding.

The event, which is the second time since last year, will also serve as a PR for the harvest season starting in November. Owani Onsen sprouts increased production promotion committee concierge Hidetoshi Funamizu said, "Events with only bean sprouts are rare in Japan."

100 bundles of Owani Onsen bean sprouts (300 yen each) will be sold for a limited time at 10 and 13 o'clock each day, as well as soup (100 yen each) using Owani Onsen bean sprouts miso soup and Aomori Shamo Rock. From January of this year, we will prepare a "Wanijin" headgear production experience corner that was used as a PR character for Owani, and it is said that you can make original crocodile that you can freely decorate.
