The park where you can see 1000 maple trees and 2600 cherry trees, and see the combination of historic buildings such as castle gates and moats with the autumn colors. The light-up is part of the "Hirosaki Castle Chrysanthemum and Autumn Leaves Festival", and during the festival there will be exhibitions of works and stage events.

About 200 lighting devices are used for lighting up. Lighted-up photos are posted every year on the Internet, attracting much attention. This year, on October 13th, amateur photographer Riki Narita (Twitter account "Chica@chicadayon") from Fujisaki took a picture last year that she was fascinated by the mystery of Hirosaki Park on Twitter. When I posted, I received over 12,000 retweets and about 30,000 likes.

Mr. Narita said, “Hirosaki Park has many photogenic places that look good on Instagram, so it may have matched the elements required for SNS. Of course I am glad that there was a big response on Twitter, but the charm of Hirosaki Park is further I'd be happy if it spreads."
