“Classic Car Club Aomori Meeting in Komise” will be held on July 20th in Kuroishi, Aomori Prefecture. This event, which has continued since 1991, is the 23rd time this year. Last year, around 26,000 people gathered from all over the country, and the venue was crowded with classic car fans.

Under the concept of "Time slip in Showa", over 200 old cars will meet together this year. Classic cars still in use from Hokkaido in the north and Wakayama prefecture in the south will be gathered in Kuroishi. This event was started by old car enthusiasts, but with the thought of the shopping mall cooperative that wants to revitalize the Kuroishi shopping district, from the 11th time it will be held mainly at "Nakamachi Komise Street" where the atmosphere of Showa remains Came to be.

Last year, we exhibited classic cars such as the "Datsun" and "Toyoace" used in the movie "The Miracle Apple" set in Hirosaki. This year, the three-wheeled vehicle "Midget" that appeared in the movie "ALWAYS Sanchome Sunset" will debut. The "MP5" type was actually used in the movie, but on the day of the exhibition, an older and rarer "MP4" type was exhibited. You can experience the atmosphere of the time with the scratches and colors intact.

On that day, you can board the "Isuzu" classic bus, which was used as a passenger car in 1971, for free. In order to create an atmosphere, the conductor wearing the uniform at that time makes a ticket. A local model dresses up as a race queen to participate in the event, and a special vehicle of the Self-Defense Force also appears as a disaster support campaign for the sister city of Kuroishi city, Miyako city in Iwate prefecture, and also conducts fundraising activities. At the venue, light snacks such as Kuroishi's B-grade gourmet "Tsuyaki soba" and alcohol are also available. A classic car parade is planned from 14:30, near the end of the event.
