At the Takumikan 2nd floor gallery space in the Fujita Memorial Garden (Kamihiraginmachi, Hirosaki City), the "Kimura Woodworking Works Flower and Bread Work Exhibition" is currently being held.

Kimura Wood Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Hirosaki City Millennium, TEL 0172-87-2747) develops the Aomori Hiba apple ladder and makes woodworking fittings and furniture. It is the 43rd year since it was founded this year with a track record of working on wooden playgrounds at department stores, shopping malls, etc. in Tokyo Toy Museum and nationwide chain cafes.

Mr. Takayuki Kimura, the fourth generation, says, "It is the first time in 20 years for a local exhibition and sales event." At the time, it opened in a garage next to the factory and invited the local residents to the center.

The venue, Takumikan, is a facility with a gallery and a café that opened in July this year to display craft products. “I am grateful to you for taking part in this event,” says Kimura.

About 200 works will be exhibited. The company's own brand "CHITOSE", which develops accessories and bath products made from apple trees, will have a complete lineup, and the universal design wooden toy "Warahand" will have blocks and rattles lined up. The "Ringo stool" that remained until the final at the Wood Furniture Japan Award 2016 last year and the commentary panel of the "SOMA Aomori Project" furniture unit from Aomori that launched this year will also be displayed.

At the venue, we will hold a lottery without a lottery, which will present a set of outlet products or hiba-kakuhaku chopsticks to the visitors, and open a workshop where you can experience making wood products such as apple tree butters and photo frames (starting from 500 yen). ). Mr. Kimura smiles, "We planned the outlet products only at the local Hirosaki. Some of them are prototypes and unknown uses, so I'm happy that customers can find out how to use them."

Mr. Kimura said, "I would like you to visit because there are products that are rarely exhibited and products that are offered at reasonable prices. If this exhibition can create a place like a showroom locally I will show my motivation.

Holding time is from 9:00 to 17:00. Until October 15th.
