A handwork art exhibition "Kodenten 2014" will be held on July 19th and 20th at Tenku Village in Aomori (Toyooka, Kuroishi).

This is the fourth art exhibition this year. Forty sets of artists from all over the country gather to sell crafts and art works such as pottery, cloth, wood and glass. Eight workshops that can be enjoyed by children and adults will also be held, such as sweets decorating experience to decorate parts of silicone cream and place mats made with appliques of camellia flowers. Eleven restaurants will be opened.

“Kodenten is an event named from the initials of Komise Dori in Kuroishi City, Traditional Crafts Museum (Fukuro Toyama, Kuroishi City), and Sky Village. From the 19th, at the Kokeshi Museum next to the Traditional Crafts Museum,“ Pocket Kokeshi Park ” "There will also be a" Classic Car Club Aomori Meeting in Komise "on the 20th, so I want to make it an event that can be lively throughout Kuroishi City," says Mina Tsuchiya, the executive committee of the event.

The venue, Tenku-mura, is located east of the central Kuroishi city, and there is Ujoyaki, a pottery workshop by Rika Imai, the father of Tsuchiya. The mist creates the atmosphere of being above a cloud and gives a panoramic view of Mt. Iwaki.

Mr. Imai studied ceramics all over the country and was the founder of the Tsugaru Karasuki ware that he started in the city. Currently, it is built up to 90 meters, aiming for the highest climbing kiln in Japan. It is planned to reach the completion of 111 meters by the end of this year.

Holding time is 19th July = 10:00 to 17:00, 20th = 10:00 to 16:00. Due to the sloped area, a free shuttle bus operates to facilitate movement within the site.
