    On September 23rd and 24th in Hirosaki, Yokofuse events "All Japan Yokofuse Competition" and "Tsugaru Flute Expo" will be held. Sponsored by volunteers led by Tsugaru flute player Bunta Sato.

    Mr. Sato started playing the flute at the age of nine, and had the experience of winning the second youngest ever in the 48th Aomori Shimoyamayama dedication final tournament when he was in high school. In recent years, in addition to playing the Tsugaru flute, he has been engaged in a wide range of activities such as training successors and setting a Guinness World Record for flute ensemble.

    About the All Japan Yokofue Contest Mr. Sato says, "By holding a national tournament of Yokofueki that shapes Japan's entertainment culture, we are interested in the local entertainment culture throughout the country and aim to spread and develop Yokofue." speak. This is the second time this year, and 16 people who have passed the second qualifying will play two pieces, a task piece and a free piece, within 8 minutes. Among the contestants, there are those who challenge from Fukuoka and participants in the second year of high school. The venue is Hiroro (in front of Hirosaki City Station).

    At the Tsugaru Flute Expo, we will hold a workshop for all four courses using the Japanese-style building in the Fujita Memorial Garden (Kamishirogincho). Winners and Hachinohe Enbura will perform.

    Mr. Sato said, “This is a unique opportunity to hear the performances of the flute players who are currently attracting attention in Japan. Hirosaki Neputa Hayashi has been designated as the theme song, and Edo Hayashi's masters and performers who participate in overseas tours will play any kind of performance. I'm excited, too," he says with a smile.

    All Japan Yokofuse Competition will be held from 23:00 on September 23rd (Admission fee = 1,000 yen). The Tsugaru Flute Expo will be held on September 24th from 10:30 onwards (Tuition fee = 310 yen for adults, 100 yen for children), concerts from 18:00 (free seats for regular seats, 500 yen for premium seats).
