On July 7th, a workshop "Kogin Sashi with Starbucks Tanabata-Wishes to Kogin" was held at Starbucks Coffee Hirosaki Koenmae store (TEL 0172-39-4051, Kamishirogincho, Hirosaki-shi).

The same store that used the "formerly the 8th division commander's office", a tangible cultural property registered by the country, built in 1917 (Taisho 6). The shop incorporates local crafts such as lighting from the local woodworking maker "BUNACO" and sofas with Tsugaru kogin sashimi.

This is the fourth Tsugaru Kogin Sashimi workshop. Yuko Okamoto, a staff member of the shop, said, “We planned because there are fewer opportunities for locals to experience Tsugaru kogin sashimi. Kogin sashimi workshops are held at a monthly pace, and this time we make strips according to Tanabata. "

Six people participated on this day. I freely embroidered a “modo pattern” on a fabric that could be used as a bookmark.

The woman in her 30s who participated smiles, saying, "I started doing Tsugaru kogin sashimi after I started participating in workshops. I would like to continue if I have the opportunity."

I wrote wishes on the finished strips and hung them on a tree on the premises of the store. Participants enjoyed themselves by pointing their mobile phones and cameras at them and taking pictures.
