The Kannon Goma memorial service was held on June 20 at the main temple of the Taidai Buddhist temple in Hirosaki (Shinji Town, Hirosaki City).

This temple is the largest wooden Buddha in Aomori prefecture and is dedicated to the main statue of the "11th plane Kanzeon statue" which is an important cultural property designated by the prefecture.

On this day, as a memorial service for the main temple, five monks gathered from the priests and local neighborhood temples to perform a holy memorial service by burning a tree on which wishes such as family safety and disease-free disaster were written. Residents visited.

According to Mr. Hakuhiro Kobayashi, a priest of the same temple, the eleven-faced Kanzeon standing statue with a height of 6.15 meters is rare in the Tohoku region, and is nicknamed "height (Setake) Kannon" by local residents. The eyes opened in 1677 (Enba 5). It was said that it was closed to the public because it was the Bodai temple of the Tsugaru lord until the Meiji era.

A man in his 40s who dropped in on a walk with his child said, "I'm from the neighboring Hirosaki high school and have lived in the city for the first time, but this is the first time I've seen it. I listened to the sign of Yomiya, There are many things I don't know yet."
