The "Nishimeya Dam Lake Tour", which utilizes amphibious buses, has begun on April 30 in Nishimeya Village, Aomori Prefecture.

Located at the entrance on the Aomori side of the world natural heritage "Shirakami Mountains", this village has the smallest population in Aomori prefecture. One of the initiatives that we started as a utilization plan of the dam lake "Tsugaru Shirakami Lake" that was newly created with the Tsugaru Dam completed in October last year, and we will go around Tsugaru Shirakami Lake using an amphibious bus.

This is the first amphibious bus tour in Aomori Prefecture, and Tsugaru Shirakami Tour (Nishimeyamura Tashiro) who runs the tour will show confidence that "You can enjoy the emerald green lake and the nature of the Shirakami Mountains in every season". ..

After accepting the tour at the product center "Beach Nisimeya", board the bus and take the land route for 15 minutes to the lake entrance. After "splashing in" on the water, enjoy a 30-minute excursion, then return to the beach by land to Mimeya. It takes about 60 minutes.

According to a passenger survey conducted during Golden Week, there were comments such as "I was able to enjoy the superb view" and "The attraction floating on the surface of the water at the moment of entering the lake was interesting".

Mr. Hamanaka calls out, "Because amphibious buses do not have window glasses, you should wear warm clothes as much as possible, get wet, or prepare a raincoat."

There are five flights a day at 9:00, 10:30, 12:00, 13:30, and 15:00. The fare is 2,500 yen for adults, 1,500 yen for children (3 years old to elementary school students), and 500 yen for infants (under 2 years old).
