On April 24th, five Starbucks coffee shops in the Aomori/Tsugaru area will begin selling the local limited product "Tsugaru Bidero".

This product will be released as the fourth product of the locally limited product "JIMOTO made series" developed by Starbucks Coffee Japan (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo). The series develops products that incorporate the techniques of traditional crafts and artisans working in the area and sells them only at limited stores.

"Tsugaru Bidero" is hand-made one by one by "Hokuyo Glass" (Aomori City) using the technique of "air blowing" cultivated in the production of ukidama for fishing. It features a colorful color expression called cullet (colored glass), and along with Tsugaru lacquer and kogin sashimi, it has been designated as an Aomori traditional craft.

There are four types of product lineup: "TSUGARU", "AOMORI", "HIROSAKI" and "GOSHOGAWARA". The Starbucks and Northyo Glass logos and the letters "TSUGARU" are put on the side, and each glass has two colors to express the characteristics. "TSUGARU" is snow white and fresh green, "AOMORI" is blue that expresses Tsugaru Bay and its depth, and red that expresses Nebuta's feelings. "HIROSAKI" is cherry blossom pink and tea that represents historical buildings. , "GOSHOG AWARA" uses "red and black", which is representative of Tachineputa, and yellow of Tsugaru Railway.

A person in charge of Starbucks Coffee Japan said, “When I conducted a workshop that also served as an interview with local employees, I was deeply moved by the passionate talk of the locals where they live. In addition, I felt that there was a need for a product that also expressed the characteristics of each region “Aomori City”, “Hirosaki City”, and “Goshogawara City”, and as a result, there were four types.”

As for the stores, "AOMORI" is "Aomori Lavina Store", "Aomori Central Store", "Aomori West Bypass Store", "HIROSAKI" is "Hirosaki Koenmae Store" only, "GOSHO GAWARA" is "Aomori ELM Store" only, "TSUGARU" "Aomori Lavina store" "Aomori central store" "Aomori west bypass store" "Hirosaki Koenmae store" "Aomori ELM store".
