On March 17, a large hole with a diameter of about 2 meters appeared in a field in Inagaki-cho, Tsugaru-shi, Aomori Prefecture, and it is attracting local attention that it may be a mark of a meteor.

The soil is scattered about 6 meters around the hole. Kiriaki Oda, who owns the field, found the soil rising from under the snow.

According to Aki's grandson, Hitoshi's grandson, early in the morning on the 12th of this month, "there was a vibration that caused the house to shake." At first, it was discussed in the family that there might be a lightning strike, but the snow started to melt on the 17th. He found a hole in it and started thinking that it might be a meteorite.

Akira's story triggered the city and local police riot police to investigate, finding that it was not a possibility of explosives or a hole caused by a lightning strike. Akira's son Kenichi says, “The probability of meteorites has increased. I am happy that they are meteorites. I would like to dig the center of the hole in a couple of days.”

"I had never thought that a meteor would fall on my land. It might be less likely than winning a lottery," he said with a smile.
