"Apple Shokudo" (Ozawa, Hirosaki City, TEL 0172-88-0313) along the Apple Road in Hirosaki will be reopened on March 18.

Founded in 1978 (Showa 53), the cafeteria has been popular with apple farmers who carry out agricultural work in the surrounding area and delivery companies that pass through Apple Road. Due to construction work associated with road expansion, the newly opened store will resume operations on the same day.

Hiroko Ima, who is 62 years old this year. Since the company's founding, he and his husband, Mr. Suemitsu, have been running the store together, but seven years ago, Mr. Suemitsu passed away. Currently, she continues to work with her relatives and acquaintances as women.

The standard Katsu curry (650 yen) is said to be visited by people from Sendai and Fukushima via online reviews. Mr. Ima says, "Every time I use freshly fried cutlet, curry roux is a ramen soup-based taste that is gentle on the stomach. It can be enjoyed by children and young people to the elderly."

The menu includes ramen such as "Handmade Chinese" (550 yen) and "Miso Curry Milk Ramen" (650 yen), as well as soba and udon noodles. In addition to bowl menus such as "Gyudon" (600 yen), "Kaikadon" (550 yen) with seasoned pork belly with eggs, "Katsu set meal" "Yakiniku set meal" (700 yen each), "Stir-fried vegetables" A set meal menu such as "set meal" (600 yen) is also available.

There are 33 seats including the counter. Mr. Ima says that he was particular about how to use the kitchen widely in the renewal. "I want to continue for the next 10 years for everyone. If I can find a successor by then," he smiles.

Mr. Tomoyuki Ishioka, one of the regular customers living in Hirosaki who visited during the pre-opening period, said, “When I was a child, I ordered a delivery service to the apple field during the apple harvesting season, and I remembered eating it with my family. I have come to go with my children.”

Business hours are from 10:30 to 19:30 (last order). Closed on Tuesdays. Secure at least 10 parking spaces in front of the store.
