    “Junmai Daiginjo Joppari Kaso” from Rokka Shuzo (Mukoyose Toyota, Hirosaki City) won the “GOLD” award at the IWC (International Wine Challenge) 2014 “SAKE Category”.

    The IWC is the largest wine competition in the world, held annually in London, with the greatest impact on winemakers around the world. In 2014, a maximum of 725 Japanese sake was exhibited in the SAKE category. The division was established in 2007 and is co-sponsored by the Sake Youth Council as the official coordinator. Alcoholic drinks that have won "GOLD" or higher at the IWC are offered to foreign guests at the Japanese government's diplomatic missions as well as used for international events.

    The liquor was awarded the "GOLD" award in the "Sake Division" "Junmai Ginjo Sake, Junmai Daiginjo Sake Department". The ranking was raised from "SILVER" in 2013, and it won the award for the second consecutive year. In 2013, "Daiginjo Joppari" received the "GOLD" award, and its main brand "Joppari" received the "GOLD" award for the second consecutive year.
