Hirosaki's hamburger shop "Dubois" moves to focus on Aomori beef
On February 4, next to Hirosaki City Hall, a hamburger specialty store "Cafe Restaurant Dubois" (Kamihiragincho, Hirosaki City, TEL0172-88-6812) relocated and opened.
The same restaurant that offers hamburgers with 100% beef from Aomori Prefecture. Using prefectural and domestic vegetables, they are handmade one by one after receiving an order.
A shopkeeper, Shinpei Inoue, who graduated from an art university in the United States, started business at the log house near the Owani Hirosaki interchange on the Tohoku Expressway in August 2015, in order to reproduce the taste of the hamburger he ate at home. According to Mr. Inoue, the previous store was said to be “too far” from customers, and it was difficult to add air conditioning and kitchen facilities, so he decided to move.
On the first day of opening the new store, about 80 people visited. “By opening a new store in the center of the city, we are able to reach more customers,” says Inoue.
The store area is about 20 tsubo. There are 20 table seats. Mr. Inoue was in charge of the burger sign on the outer wall. The interior of the store is based on the grain of “Dubois”, which means “tree and forest” in French, and the illustrations of small animals are hidden in the grain of the grain.
Mr. Inoue said, "I made the lights dark so that even one customer could easily enter. I tried to create a calm atmosphere." The store is equipped with a projector, and the gallery is in view.
The menu is hamburger (960 yen), bacon mozzarella burger (1,280 yen), premium W burger (1,680 yen), Napolitan (820 yen), fish and chips (580 yen), drinks are homemade ginger ale (420 yen), Homemade lemon squash (420 yen) etc. are prepared. All hamburgers are priced with potatoes, 50 yen off if you don't need potatoes.
The "Tower Burger" (5,000 yen), which is said to have been popular at the previous store and is more than 25 cm high, will also be sold (reservation required). Mr. Inoue is enthusiastic about "I would like to continue to offer innovative menus."
Business hours are from 11:00 to 16:00.
