On December 13th, a bagel specialty store "Pommiel" (Aomori Namioka Taishaka, TEL 0172-55-0591) was relocated and opened near JR Daishaka Station on December 13.

The store offers about 10 types of bagels and sweets using ingredients from Aomori prefecture. Akiko Shimizu, a store owner born in Namioka who was born as an apple farmer, has worked at a French restaurant and bakery in Tokyo. "I want to make things that I can make by hand and provide them to customers at a reasonable price," he says.

Mr. Shimizu opened a shop in the center of Namioka in 2012, which sells cream puff with apple pulp in the hint that farmers tend to eat sweets during breaks. The store's name comes from "French apple and honey, but because it was too long, it was reassembled and coined."

Bagels wanted to provide something that could be easily eaten every day, remembering the excitement of eating in Tokyo, and started offering. It became a signboard menu for the shop by increasing the number of varieties with the patrons saying that "only bagels here can be eaten".

Although it closed the store once in March 2015, it opened the store as a new house for marriage. "When the land for the new store didn't go well, Teruyuki, who was working as a co-operation team with my husband, found it here. I immediately decided to open the store in this place with beautiful scenery and nature. Thanks to my husband, I was able to resume safely".

The store area is about 15 tsubo, and an eat-in space will be set up in the store. There are 4 seats. The white wall inside the store is painted by Mr. Shimizu himself with the help of an acquaintance.

The bagels are plain (120 yen), chocolate (200 yen), cheese (170 yen), shrimp avocado (480 yen), as well as "Bonjushu" which is named because the store is located at the foot of Bonju Mountain. (210 yen) or handmade jam (450 yen) using mandarin oranges from Ehime prefecture. Drinks include Pommiel blended coffee, Kina coffee, and cafe latte (350 yen or more).

Kina Coffee, which uses 100% Namioka soybeans, is roasted at Teruyuki's parents' coffee bean specialty store “Kawagoe So” (Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture). "Coffee made after many trials. Put one cup with an aeropress that can bring out the original taste of beans instead of drip. Recommended for pregnant women who can not consume caffeine," Teruyuki says. We also sell coffee beans (100 grams = 550 yen) (all prices are tax-excluded).

One month has passed since the business reopened. There are many long-awaited repeaters, and customers may line up before the store opens. Mr. Shimizu said, "Even though the location of the store has changed, the regular customers are still visiting. I'm happy and encouraged by the voice of "waiting".

Business hours are from 10:00 to 17:00.
