On December 11, near the Hirosaki Gakuin University, "Mountain-viewing restaurant Bon Vue" (Mirai-cho, Hirosaki, TEL 0172-31-5251) opened.

The restaurant offers French and Italian creative dishes based on seafood soup. Hiroki Saito, the store owner, is now 63 years old. Worked as a salesperson for more than 30 years and retired in May this year. The retirement money was used to open the store. "There aren't many restaurants and restaurants that can see mountains. Surprisingly, Iwakiyama seen from the inside is the angle I like most," he says with a smile.

Cooking is self-study. He says that he decided to use locally grown ingredients, bought them himself, and decided the blend of coffee to be served after meals through trial and error. “I want customers to feel delicious. I want to make each item with the utmost effort,” says Saito.

The store area is 23 tsubo and the number of seats is 20. In addition to appetizers, soups and pasta, there are A courses where you can choose fish dishes, B courses of garlic pork steaks (3,500 yen each), and C courses where you can eat fish dishes and sirloin steaks of Tago beef (5,000 yen). A brunch course (3,000 yen) on Saturdays and Sundays only. As for drinks, glass wine (500 yen ~), bottle wine (2,500 yen ~ 4,000 yen), etc. are offered. Bringing in alcohol is 500 yen.

Mr. Saito is enthusiastic about the goal of continuing business until he is 80 years old.
