At Hirosaki Park (Shimohiragin-cho, Hirosaki City) on December 13, a statue of Kinjiro Ninomiya was dressed in Santa's costume.

From 1935 (Showa 10), the same statue has been standing near the Yagura in the park. Every year in December, when snow fences and snow fishing are installed, straw hats and costumes are put on for winter preparations.

Takaho Yamazaki of the Park and Greenery Division said, “For the first time this year, we put on Santa Claus costumes for Christmas.”

“The costumes are handmade by two female staff members, and if they can be used as a PR for Hirosaki Park in winter, I would like to continue to broaden my efforts.”

The Santa costume is until December 25th. After 26th, we will change into the usual winter clothes.
