On November 25, Aomori/Kuroishi National Route 102, Kuroishi Bypass, a soup curry and Nepalese curry specialty store “Pokhara Dining” (Nakagawa Shinomura, Kuroishi) opened.

All the staff are Nepalese, and the shop owner, Gili Rajan, has run a curry shop in Nepal for about 10 years, and came to Japan in 2005 to open "Surya" in Otaru, Hokkaido. In 2014, we opened "Pokhara Dining" in Furano, and in Hokkaido, there are five directly managed stores mainly in Sapporo. This is the first store outside Hokkaido.

We offer spices directly sourced from India and curry featuring Nepalese style created from 10 years of experience, and nan made in a kiln that was ordered from India. Rajan says, "I knew soup curry and cheese nan for the first time in Japan, but decided to eat and study and offer them. I arranged it a little in Nepalese style."

The store area is about 25 tsubo and the number of seats is 40 including table seats and private rooms. The curry menu includes yellow paste (850 yen and up), red paste (1,050 yen and up), green paste (1,050 yen and up), soup curry (1,050 yen and up), set menu with rice, salad and drinks (1,280). Yen-) is offered. Side menus such as chicken tikka (480 yen) and beer set (980 yen) will be prepared.

Rajan said, “I first visited Aomori six years ago, because Nepalese curry hasn't penetrated yet, and I felt it was an opportunity,” regarding the first store opening in Aomori. "I'm used to snow in Hokkaido, so maybe it's okay," he smiles.

Business hours are from 11:00 to 15:00 and from 17:00 to 21:30. Closed on Wednesdays.
