    Viewing of rice field art using 10 kinds of rice in 7 colors has started in Inakadate Village, Aomori Prefecture. This event marks the 22nd year this year.

    The rice field art in the village is divided into two venues. Viewing started at Inakadate Village Observatory (1st rice field art) from June 2nd and at Yayoi no Sato Observatory (2nd rice field art) from 14th. The theme is 1st rice field art = "Mt. Fuji and Hagoromo", 2nd rice field art = "Sazae-san" celebrating the 45th anniversary of TV broadcasting.

    Currently, the picture is faint. The rice is growing steadily, and the characters of "Sazae-san" have also grown to the point where they can be seen.

    There are already tourists coming from outside the prefecture, and the number of visitors is increasing year by year. The best time to see rice field art is from mid-July to mid-August. It is said that the Neputa festival period in early August will be the most crowded.

    Opening hours are from 9am to 5pm. Open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays until October 13th. It will be closed only on September 28 for a rice harvesting experience tour. The fee is 200 yen for adults (junior high school students and above), 100 yen for children (elementary school students), and free for elementary school students and younger at each venue.
