Hiroka Hirosaki Chuo Seika (Suehiro, Hirosaki City) is currently at its peak in shipment of the late apple variety "Fuji".

In Aomori Prefecture, which boasts the nation's largest apple production, Hirosaki City harvests approximately one-third of the prefecture's apples. Among them, "Fuji" is the most produced of all varieties and is very popular in Japan and overseas.

The company's market is centered around Hirosaki, where apples are gathered from the Tsugaru region, and at the peak, there are cases where more than 100,000 wooden boxes of 20 kg (60 to 70) can be traded per day. This year, 112,500 boxes on October 29th were the largest number of transactions.

“Purchasing is generally active this year, and the market is solid,” said a person in charge of the market. Fuji is said to be harvested until mid-November.
